Bodega Bay : 1 March, 2013

12 hours after Steven's arrival, he was officially employed, and rather then starting immediately, his new employers (who laughed when he told them that he had just landed the previous day and was willing to start work tomorrow) suggested that Steven take 2 weeks to acclimatize and "see the sights."

So that weekend, we did what we have often done in the past:
we went to Bodega Bay with Josh and Steph.

The skies were clear, the breeze was fresh, and Lilah and her Dad played and played.

The two were inseparable.

There was also an element of fearlessness that, although not unexpected from Lilah, was rip roaringly blatant in the face of mortality and gravity and other natural phenomena now that Dad was home.

Lilah was always too close to the edge this weekend... and asked on numerous occasions to be swung, holding both our hands, and flipped over so that her feet would be past the edge of the cliff.

But we were never that far away from her that it would be truly life-threatening.

And anyway, youth is blessed with a clear, innate sense of immortality.
