koala
we were changing a bummy, and lilah/totoro said
Koala need some cream. He have a sore bummy.
ok, i said, you get the cream and we'll fix his bummy. (thinking, of course, this is pretend.)
as i cleaned up my job, totoro took no time at all in not only getting the cream, but opening the tub, and using it properly on the area on Koala that would be considered the bum-area if Koala had one.
not quite sure how to get sudocream off a stuffed animal, though.

camera shy
lilah is fully capable of reading the entirety of We're Going on a Bear Hunt, but the pressure of performance got to her this first time.
i'll post another one soon so you can enjoy the well-read story yourselves.

lest i forget
lilah and i were talking this morning about when she was growing in my tummy.
i asked lilah if she remembered being in mummy's tummy.
she corrected me: in mummy's belly.
oh yes. belly. like totoro's fuzzy belly, only a little bit different. do you remember being in mummy's belly?
yes.
what was it like?
...
inside mummy's belly? do you remember what it was like in there?
bad.

Lisa, Totoro, and Wee-Ziza
Lisa is visiting from Hong Kong but will soon be returning to Japan. Anyone who knows Lilah (sorry, I mean Totoro) will know her Blankies. Lisa's Grandmother is the heavenly saint who made L-Totoro those blankets as a gift when she was born.
Those "family jewels" Totoro is holding is Lisa's chunky bracelet. Good positioning, dude.
And Wee-Ziza (Luisa) is our very own re-established Weegie who oftentimes is called upon in an unorderly, last-minute, hasty, tear-filled phone call to help us out with "Princess Lilah Pants" because we need a sitter in the morning... Wee-Ziza is a gift to us all and I hope she knows how much we appreciate her efforts to keep Totoro as unspoiled as possible. ;)
